Unbeautiful

I was listening to this song at work on friday... And I was bored... So while listening, I drew a picture that I thought represents the song, in my opinion... It's 'Unbeautiful' by Lesley Roy... When I first heard the song, I thought it was a guy singing it, but after a few listen, I became addicted to it... Haha...

My Drawing:

Maybe it doesn't suit the song, but... Whatever... LOL!

Random Question 1

I was resting my eyes, yes, resting my eyes...

No, it's not slacking...
...
...
...
Alright, fine, whatever... Call it stoning, or slacking or whatever you like... Bleah~

Back to topic... I was staring out of the window, looking at the trees, when I thought of this random question...

Does the tree grow it's branches like we grow our hair? The base at the scalp creates newer hair and they push it's way out? So that the younger hair is nearer to the scalp?

Or do they grow like at the ends? Like lego blocks, it only grows from the outer-most block, as new blocks are attached to the end?

Hmmm... Maybe I'll research it when I'm free...

Edit: Another random thought...

Trees look like Jellyfishes...

Both have a bowl-like thingy, then straight, flowy shape thingies below...

Jellyfish have the clear bowl-shaped head, then stinging tentacles(is that what you call those?) while trees have a crown of leaves, that's empty inside, and then branches and a long long branch flowing into the ground, with outspread roots...

What to blog about, today?

Another list?

Why I hate online games...

1) Pointless MMORPG
Some would argue against this point, that having fun is the point of online RPG games, but I beg to differ... Most people play it because their friends are playing it, and fun is just the feelings you get when you interact with people in the games, not the games itself... Normally, MMORPGs lack a solid storyline, only peaks to reach, like levels, fame, or even guild popularity... The background story of the game only helps justify the graphics, and characters, and not the direction... These games improves through higher level cap, more skills attainable, more equipments, or maybe more quests... All these have nothing to say about how much fun you are having, only how much bragging rights you'll get when you hit the cap, once again after wasting more hours of your life...

2) Noobs
There are pros, norms, newbs, and the deadly noobs... Noobs kill all games, no matter what their genre is... For better ideas on how noobs kill games, google the term... There are lots of adjectives used to describe them, each more fitting than the next... Lol...

Hmm... Seems like I'm having a block... Nothing else is coming... Maybe I'll get a better topic to list next time...

Working

I have no idea why some people might like their work... I for one, hates my job.. And it isn't even a real job... It's an internship, for god's sake...

Some reasons why people hate their job:
1. Ever tried working under a stupid person?
A whole team working under someone who don't know how to lead... And not understanding the instructions, or the person gave instructions wrongly, leading to mistakes on your part...

2. Office Politics
What can I say about this... It's when people try to get into the management's good graces with just people relations, and not their abilities... They back stab people to make themselves shine brighter, or they learn the arcane skill of splitting their faces so as to use different types of suck up methods, or they just spread malicious 'titbits' about the people at work to smear their reputations... These are just some of the ways it work... I think there might be a "An Idiot's guide to Achieve the most With Office Politics", since so many people are proficient with it...

3. Meaningless Work
Not that all forms of work doesn't have a meaningless side, but just that some are totally meaningless, work created so that there's just ONE more sector in the office...
Boss A, "Hey, my company got 5 sector... Yours got how many?"
Boss B, "HAHA! In your face! I have 6! See? My management is bigger than yours..."
See? Some work is only useful like that... These kind of work is usually something that's a time-consuming but effortless work...
Anonymous A," It's boring, and it's taking up too much of my time..."
Anonymous B," Yeah... How about we hire some idiots who are broke and free to do these stuff?"
Anonymous A," Hell, yeah!"
Notice the color used for Boss B and Anonymous B is the same? It's open for interpretation...

4. Low Pay
It's rather self-explanatory, isn't it? Low pay... You'd expect it when you're a student, working part time. You'd expect it when you're a fresh graduate, working while you fish for a better job. You'd expect it when the job isn't too demanding, academia-wise. You'd expect it when you aren't among the cream of the crop. But what you expect and what you'd like is entirely different, right? People enter low-pay jobs not expecting to work for long, but some lose to the insecurities of entering a new job, or losing the old job and not finding a new one...

5. Long Hours
This reason usually go hand in hand with the low pay one... It's when the company is trying to be a juicer that people whine about this 2 reasons... They try their utmost best to squeeze every drop of work from their employees while trying to use a choker on their purses to restrain money outflow... Working overtime? "It's to be expected..." No over-time pay? "We will let you claim dinner expenses, and cab fares if it ends too late..." Unable to claim? "The company is going through a patch... After this rough patch, the company will make it up to you..." 40 hours work each week? "The company's not here to coddle you..." Worker's Rights? "Well, you can quit, but I'm not firing you... I would have to pay you one month's pay if I fire you..."

The list can go on and on, but it all boils down to, how much do you need the work? There's a ratio between Workers Required and Jobs Required, and it's heavily in favor of the Jobs required...
