Long Habit Dies Hard

Like the title says, Long Habits die hard...

But anyway, positive things first...

My Uncle from China came and went... 26 Sept till 5 Oct...

The first few days were hectic as my uncle brought my aunty and his kid (monster, really!), Joey around Singapore, playing and generally being tourist-y... Lol... The most memorable things or events would be like... Erm...

When my cousin, the monster, came, she totally like is terrified of me... Maybe cuz I'm like so huge to her... Lol... But anyway, she warmed to me on like the 3rd day... We (as in uncle, aunty, Joey, my mum, me and my 2 sisters) walked to Ave 8 to shop for some tam-pui kind of thing, those toilets for babies... And from there the whole entourage walked to the 24hr coffee shop near Punggol Park... We ate, and cuz I finished my food first, I carried Joey, who was beginning to fuss, over to the playground despite her crying when I carried her... Lol... Anyway, back to the topic... I carried her and sat her on my lap while swinging on the swings, which cheered her up, and then let her sit alone while I pushed her (holding her hands on the chains of the swing, of course) softly... After a while, she grew bored of it... Since it's those new space-agey kind og playground, there's this circular thing that makes children run on it like a treadmill while balancing, I had to sit on it, carry her on my lap, and balance with one hand while pushing the circular thing with my legs... And it's not easy, cuz it's very low on the floor, no leverage to push... Lol... Anyway, I got tired of that pretty quickly... Then the dizzy turning thing, which looks like a pole but turns quickly once anyone step onto it. I sat her on the thing and turn her round and round, which she liked a lot... Lol... After that, she wanted to climb the rope pyramid, which is like impossible for me to climb while holding her... I decided to just let her stand on one of the lower ropes, and she quietens down a bit... Lol... After that, the whole cycle began with more of the playground facilities... All in all, that was a freaking tiring day... lol...

Another memorable day was K BOX!!!!! We, that is, my sisters and I were talking and came to K Box being the topic, and my uncle overheard.... Being a Singing Maniac as well, he impromptu a trip to K BOX!!! AHHHH!!! And it was K Golden, 7pm to closing, which meant 7pm to 3am!! Luckily there's an outlet within walking distance of my house... We chionged there at like 8pm and sang!!! My uncle left at like 12am+ and me and my sisters chionged singing till like 2am... CMI, cuz a bit sore throat... Lol... IT WAS FREAKING FUN!!! Lol... My first time singing till so late... The total bill was around $110, but guess what? We didn't have to pay! Blanja by uncle!!! Haha!!! SHIOK!!! And I realised that day that I knew a lot of oldies subconsciously... LOL...

Oh, and F1!!! A lot of people paid like huge amount of monies to get seats at the F1 race... My uncle's company gave him 2 Grandstand Pit stop tickets, and because he didn't want to just throw baby Joey with us and enjoy himself, he decided to let me and my sister go instead... WHOOHOO!!! I was very excited at first (even though I don't know who's who in the race) , but after the funny accidents (the pipe flying was in front of my seat), things got a bit monotonous... I grew sleepy and slept for a while... Lol... Imagine, sleeping in a seat that others paid 1.3k for, and in full blasts of those F1 racing cars zooming pass... But seriously, I was bored... Lol... After the first few rounds, standing up to take a repeated blur whizzing by lack the fun in the first round... Lol... But I was shaken awake by my sister after a while... Lol... Oh ya, the food there was BLODDY EXPENSIVE... 1 hotdog was $12, 1 cup of beer was $12, 1 curry puff was $5 and 1 chicken pie was also $5, just to name some... And they don't allow us to bring food in... OMG... Lol.. But all in all, it was great fun ba... Haha...

That was the 3 memories that still stay fresh right now, almost 2 weeks since they went home...

I should have blogged while my memories were clear... Lol...

Now, for the more negative stuff...

My habit of flaming had been flamed... LOL... Get it?! Haha!!! Anyway, I doubt that most of you know this, but I'm someone who finds it hard to back down from a fight, maybe because I'm used to winning people in vocal sparring... Lol... Mainly cuz I'm pretty confident in my language skills and communication skills... After all, I'm a very proud person... Lol... To back down would seem like I've lost... I just have to get the last word in... And my last word normally isn't that polite... Cuz of my elaboration, the sparring opponent usually can't make head or tails of my argument and ends up misinterpreting my sentences, which of course works to my advantage, cuz it just makes them look stupid... Lol... I'm cruel, I'm evil, what can I say... Lol... But anyway, I've decided to drop that flaming war (that's yet to start) because it's on the school's forum, and to make relations too estranged would not be nice... Lol...

Another thing that's negative is that I'm unsure... Despite my proudness, I think I'm a very... Broad-natured person... Is there such a word? I just seem to drift from hobby to hobby, without any single hobby that seems remotely interesting enough for me to like it... I mean, I like reading, I like singing, I like playing RPG games, but that's depending on the availability of these stuff.. I mean, I can re-read a lot of books without being tired of the plot... Like Tamora Pierce's Tortall's series is a solid example... I've re-read the series of Quartets so many times, I can foresee the ending each time I read it, but still, the action still grips me like it's my first time reading it... As for singing, when I'm not with a sore throat or a cough or whatever ailments, I sing almost everyday... I even wake up singing along to my alarm ringtone... LOL... RPG games... That's a toughie... I loath games without a storyline, or one with a boring storyline, but games with these qualities are aplenty... To find ones that I really like is quite tough... And these games that I manage to find, I go after the story with so much enthusiasm that I complete the game too quickly... Haiz... I've always wanted to learn to play the piano, but I realised that my fingers are too stubby... Haiz... Have to give up... At least, that way I save money on the keyboard that I would have to buy otherwise... Lol...

The floundering around without any aim is getting to me... I wonder what I am doing... No interest that give directions and no directions make a boring life... It's just one day after another, and not even a topic for coffee breaks... Haiz... Nvm... At least I found some new books to craze over... I highly recommend Ranger's Apprentice by John Flanagan to everyone... It's a fantastic series, on par with Anthony Horowitz's series and even Tamora Pierce... My only complain about it is its length... It breaks the stories till it's the right size for kids, but just the formative years of the main characters took 4 books... A siege on a castle in a god forsaken fief took 2 books... I finished those 6 books in like 3 days... With time to spare, I started reading David Gilman's Max Gordon series again... I've read the first book a year or two ago, but cuz I found out that the second book was out, I wanted to refresh my memories and decided to re-read it... So far it's a bore, maybe cuz I remembered the plot exactly after a few chapters... Nvm... I shall persist...

I wanted to borrow Brisingr, the third book of the Eragon series, but it's reserved by goodness how many people until goodness knows when... Haiz...Nvm... Hopefully someone will buy the book for me this Christmas... Lol.. Hint hint to everyone here!!! HAHA... How about the Ranger's Apprentice books? I love books~~~~~~

Alright, shall stop here... Hands are getting tired from the sudden increase in typing... Goodnight everyone~~~~~~
